Student Scholarships

Scholarships for graduating Bowen Island students pursuing post-secondary education, with a focus on environmental sustainability.

Each year the Knick Knack Nook awards scholarships to graduating Bowen Island students continuing on to university, college, or the trades. More than $362,000 has been awarded to date. Applicants are asked to share their goals and how they hope to contribute to environmental and social sustainability.

Environmental Learning Bursary

The Alternative Paths of Environmental Learning Bursary supports non-traditional environmental study.

This bursary helps fund workshops, online courses, certifications, and hands-on training in environmental fields that fall outside a traditional degree program. It is open to Bowen Island residents of any age pursuing environmental learning.

Community Grants

Environmental and social sustainability grants for local organizations and projects.

Through our Small Grants Program, run in partnership with the Bowen Island Community Foundation, the Nook funds local projects that advance environmental and social sustainability on Bowen Island. Community groups and non-profits are encouraged to apply.
