We Are Fundraising
Help us rebuild the Nook
After 15 years of faithful service, the original Nook building has reached the end of its life. We are raising funds to build a new, accessible, functional space that will serve Bowen Island for generations to come.
Support the Building Fund
4 Ways to Donate
Every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to a new home for the Nook. Here are four easy ways to support the building fund.
E-Transfer
Send an Interac e-Transfer directly to the building fund.
At the Knick Knack Nook
Drop by during open hours and give in person.
At First Credit Union
Visit First Credit Union at 996 Dorman Road and donate to the Knick Knack Nook building fund.
Tax Receipt (Donations of $1,000 or more)
For donations of $1,000 or more, a tax receipt can be issued.
Tax receipts for larger gifts are issued through the Bowen Island Municipality. Please contact us and we'll help arrange your receipt.
Why the Nook Needs a New Home
The building is failing
Our current space is aging and failing - leaks, drafts, and constant repairs limit what we can do.
Not accessible
The building isn't fully accessible, which keeps some of our community from taking part.
Too small for our community
We've outgrown our space. More room means more donations sorted and more funds raised.
Our impact is limited
A functional building means we can give back even more to Bowen Island priorities.
